Youth Mental Health Mini-Grant

The City of Ypsilanti is making available $25,000 in fiscal year 2018-2019, and $25,000 in 2019-2020, to support youth-serving 501c3 organizations already serving City of Ypsilanti youth (ages 3 - 22), for programs, initiatives, and/or services that directly support the mental health of our community’s young people.  This can include direct programming or services targeted at mental health, efforts to raise awareness among youth and their families around mental health services available to them, or other programs that work to solve root causes of mental health challenges.  It is up to you to make the connection between your proposed work and its impact on mental health.

Please complete the following.  We are not providing word or character limits, but would like answers to be succinct, yet allow reviewers (city council and staff) to have enough information to understand the scope of your organization and what you are requesting funding for.

Applications are accepted and awarded on a rolling basis until funds are expended.  The Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and two staff members will review and score the applications, and bring complete and recommended proposals to council for review and approval.  Any questions can be directed to mayor@cityofypsilanti.com.
