The last week of yard waste collection will be the week of December 18, 2017 on trash day. As a reminder, the City does not pick up loose leaves. This means that all leaves must be bagged or barreled for pick-up. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE LOOSE LEAVES IN THE STREET!!! Leaves piled in the street are one of the leading causes of street flooding due to clogged storm drains.
Leaves must be contained in paper compost bags or trash cans, 32 gallons or smaller with a yard waste sticker placed on trash container. (Stickers are available at City Hall, the Public Service Office and at the Ypsilanti Recycling Site).
Note: During the colder months we ask that residents use compost bags. Leaves that are frozen in containers cannot be collected.
