NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE
WHERE: Cross Street between River Street and Lincoln Street. (see location map below)
Full-width Closure – Starting Monday, October 29, 2018, and ending on Friday, November 9, 2018 (two week duration).
Partial-width Closure – Currently in place. Will remain in place until the start of full-width closure (from now until 10-29-2018). Will be re-established following the duration of full-width closure (re-established on 11-10-2018). The partial-width closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Additional Full Closures – Following the two week period of full-width closure and during the remaining duration of partial-width closure, the possibility exists for additional full closures (short duration) beyond what is noted above. These additional closures might become necessary during extreme weather events (high winds). Please pay attention to the Portable Changeable Message Signs that will be located on Cross Street (one near Prospect Road and one near Riverside Park). These signs will indicate the type of closure to be encountered.
WHY: To construct underground utilities within Cross Street. Cross Street just east of River Street currently has its right-turn/thru lane blocked off to allow for the temporary support of the south wall of the existing building @ 400 N. River Street. Some of the bracing and barriers shall be removed temporarily to allow for underground utility construction in Cross Street. Following the two-week period of full-width closure, the temporary bracing and barriers for partial-width closure will be re-established and remain in place until Wednesday, December 12, 2018. During the partial-width closure, vehicles traveling westbound on Cross Street will be able to continue through the River Street intersection or turn left onto southbound River Street.
Right turns onto northbound River Street will be permitted but right turns during a red light will be prohibited.
