The Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) continues work in North Huron, Michigan to Cross and Washtenaw from Cross to Hamilton, and on Cross at Washtenaw. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and access to and from the side streets will be closed at times. Observe posted detours; please drive attentively through these zones for your safety as well as the safety of the workers.
Work on the I-94/Huron Street bridge continues as part of the MDOT trunkline maintenance and pedestrian pathway project. One lane remains in both directions on Huron over I-94. All ramps to westbound I-94 are closed, as is the SB to EB entrance ramp. Work on Hamilton and Huron continues.
This project is part of a two-year planned improvement to the water, sewer, and road infrastructure within the City. The Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA), the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), and the City will be working together through 2023 to improve the safety of both our drinking water and our transportation system. This project will affect traffic on Huron from I-94 to Cross; Hamilton from I-94 to Washtenaw; Washtenaw from W. Cross to Hamilton; and Michigan from Ballard to the Huron River.
