If you have received a PARKING VIOLATION, you must respond in one of the following two ways to avoid potential additional penalties and consequences:
A. Admit Responsibility - If you choose this option, all violations must be paid in full. Partial payments will not be accepted.
In person at City Hall, City Clerk/Treasurer's Office, 1 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI. (8:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.) We accept cash, check or money order (payable to City of Ypsilanti), credit card (Mastercard, Discover, American Express, VISA). There is a 3% fee or $2 minimum for credit card payments.
By mail: send your check, made payable to the City of Ypsilanti, to City of Ypsilanti Processing Center, PO Box 2068, Tarrytown, NY 10591-9066. Be sure to write your ticket number and license plate number on the front of your payment.
(DO NOT SEND CASH). PAYMENTS ARE PROCESSED AS RECEIVED. POSTMARKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT.

B. Deny or Admit Responsibility with an explanation - If you choose this option, you must:
Submit a completed appeal form within 90 days of issuance of the violation to Ypsilanti Parking Bureau (include a copy of the notice of violation), 1 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197, or by fax to (734) 482-5790. Appeals are handled by the 14A-2 District Court.
FAILURE TO RESPOND WITH OPTION A OR B WITHIN 14 DAYS WILL RESULT IN A DEFAULT JUDGMENT AND POSSIBLE SUSPENSION OF OPERATOR/CHAUFFEUR LICENSE. ADDITIONAL PENALTIES MAY BE ADDED AT THAT TIME.
IF YOU HAVE SIX (6) OR MORE UNPAID VIOLATIONS, YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE IMPOUNDED UNDER PROVISIONS OF STATE LAW AND LOCAL ORDINANCE.
